One translucent sphere rests on the fine, interlocking barbs of a feather, magnified in extreme detail. The droplet refracts the dim twilight light, holding a miniature inverted world within its curved surface. Below, jagged salt crystals form a rough, white terrain along the rim of a pan, their geometric edges catching the low grazing illumination. The background remains sharp, revealing the texture of the pan's edge, while the immediate foreground melts into a soft blur. Early summer light filters in weakly, casting long, subtle shadows that emphasize the three-dimensional structure of the feather and the crystalline salt. A thin rim of light traces the curve where the water meets the organic barbs.
