Water Buffalo Tank Silhouette at Lichinga Construction Site

Pale wet sky hangs low over a framed building shell in Lichinga as the sun dips toward the horizon. A large water buffalo tank stands in sharp silhouette against the fading light, its curved metal surface absorbing the dim glow. Raindrops slick the ground, creating shallow reflections that stretch along the leading lines of the construction site. The skeletal steel beams of the structure rise behind the tank, forming a rigid geometric backdrop against the soft, diffused gray of the wet season air. Mud coats the base of the tank, against the smooth, dark curves of the metal. No glamour exists here, only the raw urgency of a working site under a drizzle, where the final edge of the tank meets the muddy earth in a hard, unyielding line.
