Vinyl Records Fanned on Blanket at Rennes Stand

Deep shadow covers the damp cobblestones where a weathered blanket spreads across the ground. Dozens of black vinyl records fan out in a tight arc, their glossy surfaces reflecting a sharp rim of pale morning light. The grooves catch the dim glow, forming thin silver lines against the matte black plastic. Above, the edge of a canvas awning drapes low, casting a heavy shadow over the display while a sliver of dawn light strikes the fabric's hem. Nearby, crates of fruit sit in the gloom, their skins dull under the pre-sunrise sky. The damp ground reflects the faint blue of the early hour. One record near the edge shows a white label, its text obscured by the angle and the soft, cool light.
