Vinyl Records on Spice Table in Ciudad Bolívar

Soft, overcast light diffuses across a cluttered vendor table in Ciudad Bolívar during the wet season. A stack of old vinyl records fans out in a semi-circle on a rough, woven blanket, their black grooves catching the muted sky glow. Beside them, burlap sacks and ceramic jars hold dried spices in earthy reds and browns, their textures rough against the smooth, worn plastic of the record sleeves. The foreground blurs slightly, framing the arrangement through hanging strands of dried herbs that hang from the stall's wooden eaves. Water droplets rest on the rim of a nearby metal basin, reflecting the gray sky above. The scene rests on a surface scarred by decades of use, where the edge of a record sleeve meets a pile of cumin seeds.
