Rich amber sunlight floods a symmetrical tiled stair hall inside a Victorian row house near Ejido. Geometric tiles in deep crimson and cream cover the floor, their glossy surfaces reflecting the low-angle sun. Dark wood molding frames high ceilings against pale plaster walls. A central newel post anchors the composition, flanked by matching banisters that guide toward the landing. Light pools on the stone steps, highlighting the texture of worn grout lines before fading into the shadows of the upper landing. Dust particles float in the golden beams, catching the warm glow. The monsoon season hangs in the humid stillness of the clear day. One long shadow stretches across the final tile.
