Tiled Stair Hall Low Angle Noon Light

Flat noon glare floods the interior of a tiled stair hall near Qamishli, illuminating an arcaded passage where perforated screens cast long, sharp shadows. The floor and walls display crisp, geometric tiles in warm earth tones, their surfaces reflecting the harsh tropical brightness. Low-hanging clouds outside soften the sky but leave the interior under a direct, unyielding light that defines every edge. The low angle view emphasizes the vertical rise of the arches and the rhythmic repetition of the screen patterns. Dark rectangular silhouettes stretch across the glossy floor, creating a stark contrast against the bright, dry-season dust. at the edge is the sharp, black line where a shadow edge meets the polished tile corner.
