Tripoli Laundromat Umbrellas Twilight Rim Light

Deep shadow swallows the late-night laundromat beside a steamed-up bus shelter in Tripoli. Sodium vapor lamps cast a sickly orange glow that catches the wet edges of stacked umbrellas dripping water onto the pavement. Low-hanging clouds obscure the sky above, pressing down on the dry season streets. A rim light slices through the darkness, outlining the curved fabric of the umbrellas and the glass of the shelter. Wet pavement reflects the amber light in scattered patches. The foreground element frames the view, blurring the immediate edge while keeping the dripping umbrellas in sharp focus. Water droplets hang suspended on the black fabric, waiting to fall.
