A damp terracotta flowerpot sits on a wet black iron balcony railing in a London courtyard during the dusk rain. Condensation rests on the curved rim of the pot, mixing with the falling droplets that streak down the rusty metal bars. Behind the railing, the blurred outlines of red brick townhouses fade into the grey twilight of the overcast sky. Water pools in the shallow depression of the saucer beneath the pot, reflecting the dim streetlights from the alley below.
