Tailor's Stall in Delhi
Winter noon in Chandni Chowk casts sharp, high-contrast shadows across a narrow lane where a tailor’s stall bleeds into the public thoroughfare. A faded blue dish towel, stained with chalk dust and thread snips, hangs from a rusted iron hook above a cluttered workbench. Beside it, a cluster of copper vessels catches the harsh sunlight, their surfaces reflecting the blurred motion of a passing rickshaw. A small table fan sits idle on the edge of the bench, its cage coated in fine gray lint, while loose measuring tapes drape over the edge like tangled snakes. The rough, sun-baked plaster of the adjacent building, showing the tactile reality of the trade against the indifferent brightness of the Delhi sky.
