Survey Rover Charging Shelf Mud Site Dawn

Cold dawn light reflects off wet concrete and steel surfaces at a muddy South Carolina access road. A rugged survey rover charging shelf sits low to the ground, its heavy-duty battery pack connected to a portable power unit. Thick cables snake across the slick mud, leading toward the concrete barrier where crews will soon deploy. The late autumn air leaves the grass brown and matted against the churned earth. Wind whips the loose gravel and dust across the foreground, blurring the edges of the steel framework. Rust streaks down the side of the charging cabinet, mixing with fresh rainwater. The low angle emphasizes the massive scale of the hardware against the gray, overcast sky. A puddle near the tire tread mirrors the sharp, angular edge of a metal bracket.
