Orange low-angle sunlight cuts across a salt marsh nestled beside a dark lava ridge in the foothills near Thimphu. Low-hanging clouds press against the layered slopes in early summer. A rigid metal structure emerges from the ground, yet it bends and drapes like heavy fabric with crisp, visible folds. The metal surface reflects the warm sky while the marsh grasses remain still. Shadows stretch long across the textured terrain, showing the impossible drape against the solid rock. A sharp crease in the metal catches the light, defining the edge where the rigid form yields to the fluid curve.
