Sufi Tekke Doorway Calligraphy and Rosaries
Pale walls reflect the flat, glare-heavy noon light onto a wooden writing desk near Rahim Yar Khan. Centered in the frame, a small Sufi tekke doorway model stands with dark, carved calligraphy inscribed along its arch. Strings of wooden rosaries hang vertically from the top lintel, their beads catching the indirect light bouncing off the surrounding surfaces. To the right, a glass of water sits on the desk, its exterior covered in a fine layer of condensation droplets that blur the transparency. The wood grain of the desk is rough and textured, against the smooth, polished finish of the hanging beads. A shadow falls sharply across the base of the doorway, at the base of the object against the pale background. at the edge is a single bead resting on the wood surface, slightly out of focus.
