Stray Cat on Fire Escape Night Rain Dhaka
Fluorescent light from a convenience store in Banani, Dhaka, washes the wet pavement below in harsh white tones. A stray cat crouches on the rusted iron bars of a fire escape, its fur matted and dark against the grey metal. Steam rises in thin, translucent wisps from nearby street grates, curling upward into the damp night air. Occasional flashes of passing headlights cut through the alley shadow, briefly illuminating the cat's alert posture and the slick reflections on the asphalt. The foreground blurs into soft, out-of-focus shapes, isolating the animal against the gritty urban backdrop. one drop of water slides down the railing, catching the neon glow before falling into the puddle.
