Dark water fills the frame, mirroring the sharp silhouettes of palm fronds against a star-dusted sky. The canal surface remains glassy, showing the stark geometry of the trees without a ripple. Winter light washes the scene in cool silver tones, turning the dark water into a sheet of polished metal. Dry autumn grass lines the banks, its golden hues muted by the low angle of the moon.
