Deep indigo twilight fills the prayer hall of a mosque in Muscat, where the last blue light of evening streams through high windows. Thick mud-brick walls, textured with the rough grain of Sahel earth, rise in heavy, organic layers. Silhouetted against the bright window glow, the structure reveals the dark, angular forms of timber minarets reaching upward. Warm string lights hang in loose clusters, casting soft amber pools on the stone floor and illuminating dust motes suspended in the air. The contrast between the cool blue exterior light and the warm interior glow creates a quiet, reverent space. Shadows stretch long across the textured surfaces, showing the depth of the arches and the solidity of the ancient building materials.
