Silhouetted Loom in Bonon Hall

Golden light floods the ceremonial hall in Bonon, turning a traditional Persian carpet loom into a stark silhouette against the bright window. The monsoon season hangs in the humid air, visible as a soft haze that softens the distant edges of the room. Thick vertical warp threads stretch from the floor to the ceiling, creating deep layers of shadow that recede into the background. Wooden beams and colorful skeins of yarn rest on the floor, their hues muted by the backlighting. The structure of the loom stands rigid and geometric, against the fluid, glowing sky visible through the open archway. One tassel hangs loosely from the bottom beam, catching the last rays of the sun.
