Ghanaian Kente Weaver in Lagos Prayer Hall

Deep indigo light from the wet season twilight fills a spacious prayer hall in Lagos, washing the interior in cool blue tones. A Ghanaian weaver sits at a wide wooden pedal loom, their hands moving over threads of gold, red, and green Kente cloth. The loom's intricate wooden frame rests against a backdrop of white prayer mats and tall, arched windows that frame dramatic, cloud-filled skies outside. A slight sheen on the polished wood floor reflects the dim ambient light. The weaver wears a traditional dashiki, its vibrant patterns echoing the fabric taking shape on the loom. Long shadows stretch across the floor, defining the stillness of the moment. One golden thread catches the low light at the edge of the cloth.
