Embroidery Hoop on Cutting Table in Kosti Living Room

Pale walls reflect broad skylight onto a wooden cutting table where a wooden embroidery hoop rests open. Loose thread fibers drift across the surface, catching the late morning sun that floods the Kosti living room. The wet season outside softens the light, casting warm interior shadows that pool around the table legs. Scissors lie nearby, their metal handles gleaming faintly against the matte wood grain. The fabric within the hoop shows a pattern of stitching in progress, the thread tension visible where it bites into the material. Dust motes hang suspended in the bright air above the work surface, settling gently on the scattered threads. A small stain marks the corner of the table, evidence of daily use. at the edge is the frayed edge of a loose thread resting against the smooth curve of the hoop's rim.
