Flat noon light floods the ceremonial alcove through high skylights, bouncing off pale walls to erase deep shadows. In the foreground, a heritage textile booth holds stacks of folded fabrics in ochre and indigo, arranged neatly against the smooth plaster. Rain outside dims the distant background, separating the bright interior from the grey afternoon. Warm lamplight begins to settle into the far corners, offering a soft contrast to the harsh overhead brightness. Layers of depth recede from the textured fabric stacks toward the back of the room, where a solitary wooden chair sits empty. A frayed edge of a woven mat rests on the dusty floor near the booth's base.
