Sheep in Siberian Pasture Midnight Silvery Light

Thick mud coats the ground where three sheep huddle near a weathered wooden fence. Two gray mineral blocks sit on the frozen earth, their surfaces rough and salt-stained. The sky above is a flat, pale expanse of winter blue, perfectly clear and devoid of clouds. Silvery light from the midnight sun casts long, soft shadows across the uneven terrain. Layers of the paddock recede into the distance, where the horizon blurs against a backdrop of dormant, snow-dusted grass. The animals' wool appears heavy and matted with damp earth. A thin layer of frost edges the wooden fence posts, against the dark, wet soil beneath their hooves.
