Sextant and Seal on Stone Shelf

Directly overhead, a brass sextant with blue enamel inlays rests on a rough-hewn gray stone ledge. Beside it, a dark red wax seal with a metallic stamp sits near the window edge. Pale walls reflect soft midday light across the polished metal surfaces, creating tiny, sharp highlights on the sextant's arc and handle. The stone texture shows deep pits and weathering, against the smooth, cool glass of the window frame nearby. Bare winter light falls through the opening, illuminating dust particles suspended in the air above the objects. A faint shadow falls along the stone's edge where the wax seal meets the ledge.
