Beside the grill, a stack of white soup bowls waits near a pot lid propped open, revealing the dark interior. A customer in a straw hat leans against a wooden counter, holding a plastic cup of fruit salad, while neon signs from adjacent vendors cast pink and blue reflections on the wet pavement.
