Warm late afternoon light spills across the concrete sidewalk outside a Pearl District cafe, catching the steam rising from a dented stainless steel thermos resting on a wrought-iron table. Beside it, a stack of empty glass tumblers reflects the orange sky, their surfaces streaked with condensation. A local barista leans against the brick facade, wiping down the counter with a blue cloth, while a customer waits, tapping a finger against a paper cup. The scene is framed by the green awning of the shop, casting long, sharp shadows that stretch toward the street. The texture of the rough masonry contrasts with the smooth, wet glass, capturing a quiet moment of pause in the city's busy rhythm.
