A vendor in a faded apron lifts a ladle, pouring hot broth into a stack of mismatched ceramic bowls arranged on a cluttered wooden counter. Nearby, a customer in bright orange rain boots waits, holding a plastic bag, while a metal gate handle glints in the low sun.
