A baker in a stained apron hands a paper bag of fresh kaak to a customer, their faces illuminated by the warm spill from the oven’s open door. On the cluttered wooden counter, a pair of metal tongs rests beside a stack of ceramic tiles used as coasters, while a dog brush lies discarded near a stool tucked under the workspace.
