Seaplane at Goa Pier Wrong Shadows
Bright midmorning light floods the wet wooden pier in Goa, illuminating a white seaplane resting against the turquoise water. Rain-slicked planks reflect the sky, while green palm fronds arch overhead in the humid rainy season. The aircraft’s hull gleams with fresh water droplets, and its propeller stands still. Every shadow on the pier and along the plane’s fuselage points upward toward the sun instead of away, defying the clear dry mountain light above. This impossible directionality makes the vessel appear to float slightly above the dock. The water ripples gently around the hull, catching the inverted shadows as dark streaks moving against the current. One droplet slides down the wingtip, marking the edge of the surreal geometry.
