Silhouetted Sardinian Houseboat in Autumn Fog

Indigo twilight blankets the harbor mouth in Sardinia, turning the wooden hull of a moored houseboat into a stark, dark silhouette. Early winter mist rests on the water, softening the reflection of the vessel. Overhanging autumn willows drape their bare, brown branches across the upper frame, their thin twigs catching the last fading light. A fine drizzle creates a network of tiny, shimmering ripples on the canal surface. The boat rests against the rule of thirds line, anchored by a rope disappearing into the gloom. Wet wood grain is barely visible where the silhouette meets the dark water. One, pale streak of reflected moonlight cuts through the fog on the far right edge of the canal.
