Rusted Iron Mailbox in Melbourne

A rusted iron mailbox stands anchored on a weathered concrete pillar at the edge of a Melbourne laneway during the misty dawn. The grey metal surface is textured with layers of peeling paint and dark streaks from morning condensation that clings to its edges. Behind the box, the faint outline of a brick building fades into the thick, white fog that obscures the distant street. One damp leaf rests against the base of the pillar, highlighting the cold, wet conditions of the early morning.
