Roof Core Sample Box on Muddy Road at Blue Hour

Cool blue twilight settles over a muddy access road in Khanewal, where a cardboard box containing roof core samples rests on churned earth. The open plastic lids reveal cylindrical asphalt and gravel specimens layered inside the container. Heavy overcast skies provide flat, even illumination that washes out sharp shadows across the wet ground. Mud coats the box edges and splashes the surrounding dirt, marking the path of heavy machinery. Behind the container, empty, churned earth stretches into the distance. A wet tire track cuts through the mud directly beside the box, ending in a dark puddle at the edge of the frame.
