Pale morning light washes over a dusty cardboard bin resting on a steel construction deck in New Mexico. Soft overcast skies diffuse the illumination, casting faint scaffold shadows across aluminum shims and rubber gasket samples. The bin holds sealant tubes with readable labels, their plastic surfaces reflecting the flat sky. A late summer wind whips at the loose edges of the packaging and the frayed cardboard flaps. Leading lines formed by the deck's structural beams draw toward the scattered hardware. Dust coats the metal surfaces and the torn cardboard, marking the weather-tested reality of the active work site. at the edge is a rubber gasket edge catching the light against the rough metal floor.
