Roofing Materials Cache Under Noon Sun

Bright noon light flattens the texture of a muddy access road near Hisar, highlighting the dust and uneven tire tracks that mark the late spring ground. Large rolls of roofing membrane sit upright in the center, their plastic surfaces reflecting the harsh sky. Beside them, white adhesive pails stack in neat rows, their labels faded by the sun. A heavy weighted tarp drapes over a generator cart, its canvas wrinkled and stained with grime. The scene is dominated by the raw materials of construction, arranged without ceremony. Shadows fall sharply beneath the generator wheels, at the base of the equipment in the thick, churned earth. One strip of blue plastic tape holds the tarp in place against the wind.
