Cool, diffuse light from a heavy overcast sky washes over the reflection of a man's face in a framed mirror. The setting is a barbershop near Kingston upon Hull, where the dry season leaves the air still. Soft window light grazes the cheekbones and forehead, revealing the texture of skin and the faint stubble along the jawline.
