Man's Face Reflected in Lisbon Barbershop Mirror
by Karina Vega
Deep shadows dominate the frame while a sharp rim of blue evening light traces the contours of a man's face reflected in a barbershop mirror. The reflection shows a weathered skin texture and a focused gaze, framed by the dark, wet edge of the glass. Outside the mirror's surface, blurred streaks of steady rain blur the Lisbon old quarter street beyond. The interior walls display worn wood paneling and vintage brass fixtures typical of the district. A faint reflection of a barber chair back rests against the lower right corner of the glass. The lighting carves out the jawline and cheekbones, leaving the eyes in deep obscurity while the forehead catches the cool, fading twilight from the street. The mirror surface holds tiny droplets of condensation near the bottom edge.
