Rainwater Puddle on Substation Road in Latvia

Oil-sheen ripples spread across a rain-slicked access road beneath towering steel transmission structures. Deep shadows swallow the lower ground, while a faint rim of blue evening light defines the metal edges of the lattice towers. Early autumn mist rests on the low-lying damp earth, pooling around the concrete base of the infrastructure. The wet asphalt reflects the gray sky in streaks of iridescent color, against the rough, painted steel. One puddle near the foreground shows the fractured geometry of the overhead lines, its surface disturbed by a tiny, falling raindrop that breaks the stillness.
