Rain-soaked Entryway in Lima

A narrow doorway in the Barranco district frames a wet street scene where the gray dusk light reflects off slick cobblestones and a rusted iron gate. Inside the shadowed entryway, a stack of white plastic folding tables leans precariously against a peeling stucco wall, their surfaces catching the ambient glow from a nearby neon sign. A potted basil plant sits on the threshold, its leaves heavy with raindrops, while a black rubber boot scraper rests on the step, smeared with mud. The contrast between the dry, cluttered interior storage and the damp, reflective exterior creates a textured boundary, showing the quiet transition between indoor safety and the rainy Peruvian evening without any human presence.
