Predawn Volcanic Crater Lake Rim Light

Deep shadow swallows the jagged rim of a volcanic crater near Old Town, Tbilisi, while a sharp band of rim light carves the upper edges in pale gold. An emerald lake fills the basin, its surface smooth and glassy, reflecting the pitch-black sky above. Late spring vegetation rests on the outer slopes, appearing as dark, textured patches against the stone. The water holds a uniform, saturated green hue, undisturbed by wind. Above, the horizon shows a faint, clear gradient from indigo to charcoal. A thin, bright line of light traces the highest ridge, separating the dark rock from the void.
