Porous Sandstone Grain on Woven Linen

Porous orange sandstone fills the view, its surface a complex network of tiny, rounded pits and rough ridges. Fine woven linen fibers run diagonally beneath the stone, their flat, matte threads creating a soft geometric contrast to the rock's organic chaos. Bright midmorning light falls through sheer curtains, casting soft, diffused highlights across the stone's uneven topography. Muted reflections appear on a floor surface in the background negative space. The stone rests directly on the fabric, the texture of the weave pressing slightly into the porous rock surface. Light filters across the grain, revealing the depth of each cavity.
