Pole Vaulter Bends Pole on Hillside After Storm

Dappled sunlight falls through bare winter branches, casting irregular patches of bright light across the athlete's bent form. The pole vault pole curves deeply under the strain of the athlete's upward drive, its fiberglass surface gleaming with moisture from the recent rain. Pale evening clouds linger above the horizon while the hillside near Mohali displays dormant brown grass and scattered stones. The athlete's muscles tense against the resistance, their body angled sharply to maximize the bend. Shadows from the surrounding trees stretch across the ground, against the bright sky. at the edge shows a single water droplet sliding down the curve of the pole, catching the light before falling.
