Neon reflections wash over rows of pleated dresses hanging on a metal rail. The fabric catches the cool blue of the evening twilight filtering through the window, mixing with the sharp pink and green glow of the rehearsal lights. Fine dust particles float in the shafts of light, illuminating the crisp folds of silk and wool. Early spring dampness lingers on the floor, creating a slight sheen on the concrete. The tight framing emphasizes the texture of the pleats, where light catches the edges of each fold. A small water droplet rests on the hem of the front dress, waiting to fall.
