Pipe Support in Fog and Snow at Canal Lock

Bright midmorning coastal glare illuminates a canal lock chamber in Uruguay, where a massive district heating pipe support anchors into the ground. Drifting ground fog swirls around the base of the steel structure, thick and white. The scene splits visually: the left half lies under bright sunshine with dry earth and wind-whipped dust, while the right half is blanketed in falling snow that accumulates on the metal beams. The hard light casts sharp shadows across the concrete lock walls, showing the texture of rusted iron against the smooth, frozen surface. A steel bracket disappears into the mist, bridging the impossible divide between the arid season and winter precipitation. The contrast highlights the rigid geometry of the infrastructure against the chaotic drift of the weather.
