Papermaker With Wet Forearms Beside Durg Canal
Soft, gray light from a clearing storm washes over a close-up view of a papermaker standing by a canal in Durg. The subject wears a heavy, dark apron stained with white pulp, while forearms glisten with water and wet fibers clinging to the skin. Droplets hang from the hairline and drip from the fingertips into the canal below. The background reveals the murky, rippling water of the canal and the faint, blurred edge of a concrete embankment.
