Oxbow Lake Golden Hour Green Valley

Low clouds hover just above the water's surface in a wide valley near La Mariscal, Quito. The oxbow lake curves like a dark ribbon across the flat green floor, reflecting the fading amber light of late spring. Tall grasses along the banks stand still, their tips catching the last direct rays before nightfall. The water remains glassy, mirroring the soft gray of the overcast sky above. Shadows stretch long and thin across the mudflats, deepening the contrast between the vibrant vegetation and the darkening water. One bend in the shoreline breaks the horizontal lines, anchoring the composition in quiet, wind-swept stillness.
