Overhead View of Train Terminal Window Grids
by Kane Wright
Soft overcast light floods the high ceiling of a restored train terminal in Kuşadası, illuminating a vast geometric pattern of window grids that dominates the view. The structure dissolves into rhythm as rows of rectangular panes repeat, their frames creating a dense lattice that stretches toward the edges of the frame. Nearby polished surfaces catch faint, mirrored reflections of the glass, doubling the visual depth without breaking the architectural logic. The turn of the season lingers in the muted tones of the stone and metal, where cool grays meet the pale transparency of the glass. Light falls evenly across the surfaces, highlighting the texture of the ironwork and the smooth finish of the surrounding masonry. A sharp shadow line marks the junction where the grid meets the heavy stone wall, anchoring the floating pattern in physical reality.
