Oil Stained Lantern Pole on Tack Bench at Night

Harsh fluorescent light falls across a weathered wooden bench inside a tack room in Siguiri. A metal lantern pole rests horizontally along the slats, its surface marked by dark, irregular oil stains that soak into the grain. The wood shows deep wear and pale, peeling paint from years of use during the wet season. Deep shadows pool beneath the bench legs and stretch along the slatted wall behind, against the bright overhead glare. Empty space surrounds the object on all sides, emphasizing its isolation against the stark interior. A small, wet patch of oil near the base of the pole reflects the overhead tube, highlighting the rough texture of the metal and the splintered edge of the timber.
