Calving parts tray in winter midnight light

Silver winter light spills across a metal parts tray resting on the dusty floor of a ranch corral in Uttarakhand. The tray holds separated compartments for calving, shearing, and hatchery equipment, each section clearly defined by raised ridges. Dust motes hang suspended in the air, caught in the movement of a strong wind that whips the frayed edges of a nearby canvas partition. The metal surface reflects the pale, cold glow, highlighting scratches and grease stains from recent use. In the background, the rough-hewn wooden beams of the corral structure stand dark against the night sky. A heavy iron latch on a storage bin catches the light, its surface worn smooth by years of handling. The scene rests on the edge of the next labor cycle, silent and ready.
