Obon Dance Circle Shrine Prayer Hall

Copper-toned light spills across the polished wooden floor of a Shibuya mosque prayer hall, illuminating a circular formation of dancers in traditional summer attire. The wide panoramic view shows the geometric precision of the prayer rugs beneath their feet as they move in rhythm. Paper lanterns hang from the high ceiling, casting soft, diffused shadows that stretch across the white walls and ornate archways. Early summer breezes seem to lift the edges of the dancers' kimonos, though the air remains still within the sacred space. The golden hour glow highlights the texture of the woven mats and the intricate calligraphy on the mihrab wall. One dancer's foot presses firmly against the grain of the wood, anchoring the circle in the center of the room.
