Mist hangs low over the narrow market lane near Xochimilco, softening the edges of colorful stalls and wet pavement. A muralist leans forward, their body angled sharply against the pale morning glow filtering through thick, low-hanging clouds. Paint splatters coat the elbows of their denim jacket, catching the diffused light while dust settles on the fabric. The low angle emphasizes the figure's height against the overcast sky, creating a dramatic silhouette. Behind the worker, rows of stacked crates and hanging produce blur into the gray haze. One streak of fresh blue paint runs down the front of their apron, against the muted earth tones of the damp ground.
