Monaco Rooftops Aerial View After Rain

by Yuki Berger

Copper-toned light spills over the dense grid of Monaco's rooftops from a high vantage point. Below, the river delta spreads like a geometric map, its channels cutting sharp lines through the wet earth. Low clouds hang just above the water, softening the horizon while the buildings stand in dark, backlit silhouette. The dry season leaves the vegetation sparse and textured, against the smooth, reflective surfaces of the rain-soaked surfaces. Every roof edge and channel bank defines the landscape with crisp, cartographic precision. The perspective looks directly down, flattening the terrain into a study of lines and shadows against the fading sky.
