A thick Santa Fe adobe wall dominates the left side, its rough, sun-baked earth texture against the smooth, wet stone of a nearby planter. Mist clings low to the ground, softening the details of a red lacquered wooden gate that stands slightly ajar, revealing a glimpse of a narrow courtyard. The cool, gray light of dawn diffuses evenly, casting no harsh shadows, while a single beam of early sun catches the edge of a copper cooking pot sitting on a low outdoor table. Beside it, a simple ceramic plate holds a steaming cup, steam rising in thin, translucent ribbons that blend with the fog.
