Mexico City Domestic Clutter

Under the flat, diffused noon light of a Mexico City balcony, a weathered concrete ledge hosts a cluster of domestic clutter. A dented metal rim, likely from an old paint can, catches a sharp, bright glint of sunlight, against the matte gray of the surrounding stucco. Beside it rests a faded red cookie tin, its label peeled to reveal rusted steel, next to a pair of black kitchen tongs resting casually on a folded blue cloth. In the background, out-of-focus green foliage from a nearby potted plant bleeds into the frame, while the edge of a white ceramic cake stand is partially visible, holding nothing but dust.
